The 61-story tower, worldwide winner in the 200-to-299-meter category, is the first building in Boston to receive a global award from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
One Dalton was selected from among a group of projects that CTBUH recognized as having made “extraordinary contributions to the advancement of tall buildings and the urban environment, and that achieve sustainability and human well-being at the highest and broadest level.”
Overlooking Boston’s historic Back Bay, One Dalton fulfills this mandate with an array of design details that make it both a good neighbor and a responsible citizen of its city. The low-rise podium, clad in warm gray granite, respects the scale and materiality of the nearby historic townhouses, while on the upper floors, gray-tinted glass reduces exterior glare and provides optimal energy performance.
