Architect’s Newspaper selected the International African American Museum as “winner among winners” among 128 finalists recognized in the magazine’s annual Best of Design Awards.
On the way to receiving this signal honor, IAAM also won Best of Design Awards in the Cultural Projects and Landscape Architecture categories. The museum, which opened in June, is housed in a building designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and Moody Nolan, with landscape design by Hood Design Studio and exhibition design by Ralph Appelbaum Associates.
